Being a 10-year veteran of the various music scenes in and around Southern Brazil has put Rafael in the position of having lead (and been a part of) multiple music & art collectives, making all kinds of music in different genres with musicians of all kinds, and being tapped into a unique kind of experimentation. With "Berbequim", Rafael puts all of these experiences and the skills they've earned him on full display!

"Berbequim is a Brazilian Drill. And I mean "drill" the tool, not the music style... but Musically speaking the album does lend itself towards the drill rhyme pattern, while also dialoguing with experimental rock such as Shoegaze...Garage Rock...and some Spanish Drill like Skinny Flex & El Patron 970...", says Rafael as he lists Velvet Underground's "White Light/White Heat" record as the major musical influence for "Berbequim", alongside "Guided by Voices".

Between the heavy fuzz, immersive synths, hypnotic rhythms and poetic lyricism, "Berbequim" is a wild 24-minute roller-coaster ride you won't want to get off of!
